The Reincarnated Count's Daughter Is the Strongest as She Is Loved by the Spirits, Though She Is Only Wishing for Regular Romance!

Chapter 145

I wanted to just sit quietly this time, and make everyone think that the Fairy Princess was just the subject of rumors, and that she was actually a calm and refined girl...

Why does something have to go wrong every single time?!

With a closed fan in one hand and pinching my dress with the other, I gracefully stood up and headed towards the table at the center of the commotion.

The Spirit King of Bejaia, Gaio, Brother Chris, and Suzanna all noticed me and fell silent, focusing their attention.

I didn’t miss that fleeting smirk on Brother Chris’s face while standing next to a worried Suzanna.

Not to mention the Crown Prince’s earlier words—those two are clearly plotting something. I’ll make sure to get a thorough explanation later.

“I believe we’ve met before. Are you not the Wind Spirit King?”

“Hey, little lady, children should stay out of this.”

I glanced up at Gaio briefly and then quickly averted my gaze.

“Shouldn’t someone who’s all brawn and no brain stay out of this instead?”

“Huh?”

He looked more surprised than angry. Gaio stood there with his mouth and eyes wide open in disbelief.

"Diadora, he isn’t really a bad person..."

“This man, who insulted my brother and my friends with his rude behavior in a foreign palace, isn’t bad?”

"Well... perhaps he’s just not used to this..."

“Is Bejaia so short on capable people that they send someone here who can’t handle basic social etiquette as a noble? Or are they simply mocking the Empire?”

"N-No, that’s not it..."

Honestly, don't get flustered just because a little girl points a fan at you. It looks like I’m bullying the Spirit King.

But I still have more to say.

“Do you even understand what you’re doing here? Interfering with human engagements in a foreign country is not something a Spirit King, who is supposed to refrain from meddling in human affairs, should be doing, is it?”

“You... so that’s what you’re really like.”

Beside me, the hero seemed to find this amusing, but I ignored him.

If your Spirit King is getting scolded, you should be backing him up, not grinning about it.

And to think Suzanna was giving you such a cold look earlier—are you some kind of masochist?

“This region is under Amber’s jurisdiction. Of course, you received her approval to be here, right?”

"Well, today there are other Spirit Kings..."

“Others?”

"L-Later... I’ll..."

What is going on? I can’t make sense of this conversation.

“Crown Prince, may I have Amber come here to clarify this?”

“Sure, I don’t mind.”

The Crown Prince, who had been leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed, was trying to keep a straight face, but he couldn’t hide the chuckles leaking out in his voice.

Even when he covered his mouth with his hand and forced a cough, it was obvious.

"Finally, you called me! You should’ve called me sooner, Diadora."

Amber, I haven’t called you yet.

But it’s reassuring that our Spirit Kings understand and respect human society enough to wait for the Crown Prince’s approval.

"Bejaia’s Spirit King. As a fellow Wind Spirit King, this is embarrassing, so just disappear, will you?"

This time, Jade snapped.

She placed her left hand on her hip and pointed her right index finger at the chest of Bejaia’s Spirit King, gradually pushing him against the wall.

"We heard that all the royal children would be gathering, so the Spirit Kings thought it would be a good opportunity to meet them."

"We told you to wait, didn’t we?"

And then, as if it were the most natural thing, both Jade and Suou appeared by my side.

“You all came together.”

Most other nations’ Spirit Kings rarely appear, yet why do the Empire’s Spirit Kings insist on gathering every single time?

The Empire’s students, having gotten used to this, quietly slid off their chairs and knelt on one knee, but for the others, it was their first encounter with a Spirit King. Some were fumbling to kneel, knocking over their chairs, while others were so shocked that they couldn’t move at all.

Imperial students noticed this and started helping them, creating a warm and gentle atmosphere throughout the room.

"Hold on. As I said before, things are going well in the Empire, so..."

"Don’t make me repeat myself. If you value this kid so highly, then just get along with him. Besides, interfering in human society too often disqualifies you as a Spirit King."

Somebody, please stop Jade!

She’s pushing Bejaia’s Spirit King all the way to the wall, and they’re getting farther away from me.

"Andy, Eldy, happy birthday."

But Amber completely ignored Jade and approached the royal siblings.

“Thank you very much,” they replied in unison.

Neither the royal siblings nor my brothers were kneeling.

Suzanna and Monica had also finished their greetings with Jade and Amber and received permission not to kneel.

Gaio was kneeling properly, and Cyprian seemed to have lost the strength in his legs and was sitting awkwardly.

Aldert was also kneeling, so he didn’t seem intent on causing trouble.

"Sorry for interrupting the tea party for the birthday celebration and the meeting with the foreign students."

The Spirit Kings still shone with an inner light, and their flawless skin was beautiful.

It’s amazing how stunning they are without any makeup.

Stark, which is rapidly desertifying, and Bejaia, scarred by civil war, both have fewer spirits and thus less magic in the atmosphere. Coming to the Empire, they must be overwhelmed by the difference in magical energy.

And to top it off, here come the Spirit Kings.

The hero is used to it, but the prince of Stark might not even be able to stand.

“Just having Lady Amber here makes us happy, so please don’t apologize. Are other nations’ Spirit Kings here as well?”

"Yes, Lilburn and Duchamp have started fostering spirits just like the Empire, and the number of spirit beasts has increased. The Spirit Kings have wanted to meet the children for some time now, but it’s been hard to find the right timing."

Apparently, Moana suddenly appeared in the sky above the royal palace one day?

If they want to make an entrance that’ll definitely please everyone, why not do it during a festival with a radiant aura behind them?

"Would it be alright to call the Spirit Kings?"

With Jade asking, there was no way anyone could say no.

Lilburn and Duchamp’s students, moved to tears by the opportunity to meet their own nation’s Spirit Kings, were tearing up, overwhelmed by emotion. Some were even sitting on the floor, gazing off into the distance as if seeing a vision.

“Please do. I’m sorry for wasting your time with this commotion. Are only two nations present?”

"All except Stark are here."

“W-Why...”

Amber looked down coolly at the stammering Cyprian before turning her head away with a huff.

"Andy, never let Diadora go to Stark, not even for a short visit."

“I understand.”

"Amber, let’s call the Spirit Kings. We don’t want to cut into their time to speak."

"You’re right. Suou, help out as well. Jade, stay by Diadora’s side."

"Bejaia’s Spirit King is not invited. Since this fool caused trouble, he’s going home."

Jade left the Spirit King of Bejaia cornered against the wall and returned to Amber’s side.

From there, it was a grand commotion among all the nations.

"You may reveal yourselves now."

As soon as Amber spoke, spheres of light gently floated into the air, gradually growing larger and outlining human forms.

Watching this, I couldn’t help but admire their consideration. They don’t just suddenly pop into existence; whether it’s to avoid startling people or not, they carefully announce their presence and reveal themselves slowly.

Now that I think about it, Jade did the same at first.

Though there was one Spirit King who dramatically rose from the ground with a “nuooo” sound...

"This is really outrageous. This man is terrible, but over there, that one isn’t even school-aged, is she?"

One of the Spirit Kings, who made an elegant entrance, immediately rushed over to Jade and began complaining.

It seems she’s Jade’s younger sister.

Her name was... Moana, wasn’t it?

She’s so excited that I can hardly make out what she’s saying.

"You’re right about this case."

"See? Rutohel followed the rules and acted with proper decorum."

"Indeed. Should we summon them?"

"Yes."

I scratched the back of my neck as I listened to the conversation overhead.

Everyone’s so tall, I have to crane my neck just to make eye contact.

“What’s going on? If you’re planning something, make sure to inform the Crown Prince first.”

“Ah, don’t worry about it. Everyone, feel free to move to the empty tables and relax. I’m sure our guests would love to have a chat with the Spirit Kings.”

Each country had two Spirit Kings present, and those from Lilburn and Duchamp, including not just the students but also their accompanying staff, were flushed

with excitement as they listened to the Spirit Kings speak.

Some were so overwhelmed with emotion that they probably weren’t even following the conversation.

The students who shared the same table with them must have thought it was impolite to stay in the way, so they stepped aside and waited at a distance.

With the Crown Prince’s encouragement to relax, they moved to empty tables, where they started preparing tea and snacks for an impromptu tea party.

The Imperial students are definitely too accustomed to the Spirit Kings.

While they seemed to be paying attention to the situation, none of them were panicking.

Meanwhile, the Spirit Kings of Luftanen, familiar figures Makani and Moana, approached.

The Luftanen students seemed unfazed that the two headed towards us first instead of their group.

"Well, let’s summon him then."

“Who?”

"Shiro!"

Of course. It makes sense.

With so many representatives from each nation gathered, it’s only natural.

"I’ve been called! Lady Jade!"

As a small, fluffy white creature with large ears, Shiro descended from the sky, floating and shifting colors to reflect each attribute.

"You explained it, right? Bring Camille here."

"Finally! I’ve been waiting! Right here, okay? Right here?"

"Right here."

Jade pointed right next to me.

Suou and Amber stepped aside to make space.

"Okay, just a moment—"

If I were to add sound effects, it’d be something like *shurun*!

In the blink of an eye, Shiro vanished, and...

"I’m back—"

Before I even saw him, Camille was already standing next to me with Shiro perched on his shoulder.
