The Reincarnated Count's Daughter Is the Strongest as She Is Loved by the Spirits, Though She Is Only Wishing for Regular Romance!

Chapter 154

"The Spirit Kings of Luftanen have agreed to support me."

"...What?"

I’ve done something similar a few years ago—using the Spirit Kings as backing is quite the effective move. The atmosphere in the room froze solid.

"That’s sudden. I didn’t expect you to announce it here," Chris-oniisama remarked.

The Empire’s people, shocked back to life by his words, began glancing nervously between Camille, Chris-oniisama, and me. Some even turned their heads to steal a look at my parents seated farther away.

"I just received approval from all the Spirit Kings moments ago."

"Hold on. This is too abrupt. Explain everything step by step," the Crown Prince interjected.

Camille then explained, recounting the same story I had heard in Berisario earlier. He had sought the backing of the Spirit Kings of Luftanen to stand as my equal and secure an indisputable position no one could challenge.

As a descendant of the Wise King with the ability to see magic, and someone who had maintained contact with Moana when she was alone, Camille was granted support by the Spirit Kings under the condition that he obtain the approval of all the Spirit Kings across the nations.

"I had already gained approval from the Spirit Kings of the Southern Islands and the Eastern Island Nations. The Spirit Kings of Lilburn, Duchamp, and Tabuk agreed under the condition that Dia and I serve as mediators between Spirit Kings and humans in the future. Dia has already consented to this role. Lastly, the Spirit Kings of Bejaia and Starke, disheartened by the rude behavior of students studying abroad and long-standing complaints from their nations, granted their approval just moments ago."

Even the Spirit King of Bejaia approved?

It must have been the collective rejection by the other Spirit Kings that pushed them.

Camille is incredible. Even without memories of a past life, he managed to secure the support of the Spirit Kings.

"The strongest couple, huh? What are we supposed to do now?" the Crown Prince groaned, pressing his fingers to his temples.

There’s definitely going to be a superstition about royal birthday parties always ending in chaos.

Since neither Camille nor I are of age yet, the announcement was just a report for now. We agreed to discuss future arrangements later, and amidst the lingering murmurs, Camille’s delegation exited the room. Luftanen’s people left brimming with confidence—a stark contrast to the defeated gloom of Starke earlier.

"Are you really going to marry into Luftanen?"

After Camille left, Roland-sama approached me out of nowhere.

He closely resembles his father, Duke Goodfellow: serious and sincere, but rigid and inflexible. No wonder he doesn’t get along with his younger brother, Derrick.

"The Empire..."

"Stop, Roland," Chris-oniisama interrupted, stepping forward protectively, his expression cooling.

"Dia, you’ve chosen Camille?" the Crown Prince asked casually, his tone and demeanor unchanged, as if making small talk.

"Yes."

"The Spirit Kings have approved this?"

"Yes."

"Then that’s the end of it."

"But—"

"Do you think you have the right to question the Fairy Princess’s decision?" the Crown Prince asked quietly.

Roland-sama flinched, stepping back before bowing his head.

"My apologies."

If Roland-sama interfered with my decision, he risked inciting the Spirit Kings’ anger. With the Spirit Kings of Luftanen backing Camille, all eight Spirit Kings would become his allies. No one could speak against me marrying Camille, but the heavy mood in the room only grew darker.

This is supposed to be a birthday celebration, and we still have the dinner party. How are we going to recover from this?

"Dia, we can still see each other after you’re married, right?" Monica asked, standing up to take my hand, her voice tinged with worry.

"Of course."

"Right. We’ll still be able to stay in touch, won’t we?"

"Listen," I began, still holding Monica’s hand as I stepped toward the Crown Prince and Roland-sama.

I noticed Alan-oniisama move to stand beside Chris-oniisama, pausing when Alan-oniisama glanced over his shoulder. Turning to follow his gaze, I nearly sighed.

Bartholomew-sama, Duke Goodfellow, and their aides—those who know me best—were visibly flustered.

As I refocused on Roland-sama, I caught the Marquess of Corquette and Dolph-sama behind him, gesturing with their hands as if to calm me. Their pleading expressions screamed, "Don’t cause trouble." These are the Empire’s leading figures? Did they really think I’d do something rash?

"Everyone, please think carefully. Things are different now compared to eight years ago. Even if I leave, nothing will change."

"Leave?" Monica echoed.

"That’s just a figure of speech. I’m not leaving, so don’t worry."

Monica’s trembling voice made me clasp her hands tighter.

"Both the Crown Prince and Eldred-sama are on good terms with Amber, aren’t they? You’re in contact with them, right?"

"Well, yes..."

"Not exactly ‘good terms,’ but they’ve been kind to us."

"Norland and Corquette are in touch with Suou and Jade, right? You don’t need to go through the Fairy Princess anymore. You can build direct relationships with the Spirit Kings and create better partnerships. Besides, I’ll be in Berisario half the week. Camille is fine with that."

"That guy... He spoils Dia too much," the Crown Prince muttered, looking pitifully at Camille, which was absurd.

"Luftanen’s king is building a mansion for Dia, and there’s a plan to construct a separate residence for Dia and Camille in Berisario, connected via teleportation circle," Chris-oniisama added, his voice unusually gentle.

The gathering was chaotic thanks to Camille.

"Can a new teleportation circle even be created?"

"The Spirit Kings taught a select few humans how to create them long ago," I explained. "But the knowledge wasn’t passed down, so they’re no longer widely made."

"Let’s continue this discussion another time. As for the coronation, having me place the crown would be inappropriate since I’m engaged to Camille. A blessing from the Spirit Kings would be more fitting."

"That’s true," the Crown Prince agreed, his expression softening.

Good. The mood finally lightened a bit.

"Monica, the Empire will always be my home, and you’ll always be my friend."

"Yes, of course."

Monica finally smiled, and the discussion was postponed. I returned to Berisario with Alan-oniisama and Camille.

As we walked to the teleportation point, I brought up the earlier conversation.

"Alan-oniisama, I’d like to hear more about the refugee situation."

Alan-oniisama grimaced, clearly not thrilled by the request.

An unhandled error has occurred.
