Using Gacha to Increase My Companions and to Create the Strongest Girls' Army Corps

Chapter 141

It was late at night when we finished, so we went to bed right after that and decided to summon Freesia and sort through the gacha equipment the following morning.

"Thanks for gathering so late last night," I said.

"Seriously, you should be grateful that Ookura-sama didn't go on a rampage," Noru replied.

"Indeed. I was surprised you didn't lose it after those results," Estel added.

"Come on, I wouldn't lose my cool over something like that," I retorted.

"But you were pretty loud about it, weren't you?" Sisya chimed in.

Thanks to the low consumption of magic stones and getting the desired unit, I managed to stay calm even with a less-than-stellar outcome. Not that I usually lose my temper so easily!

"I'm surprised to see Runa up so early," I said.

"With a new member joining, it would be rude not to show my face. Besides, I'm interested in the summoning," Runa responded.

After waking her up late last night, I didn't expect Runa to be up early. Usually, she proudly declares her intent to slack off, so this level of seriousness is quite surprising.

"Before we sort through the equipment, let's summon Freesia," I suggested.

"Are we good on cost?" Noru asked.

"Yeah, the summoning cost is 15, so no worries."

"Oh, then we didn't need to level up so much," Estel noted.

"True, but cost management is still important. Think of it as preparation," I explained.

With a summoning cost of 15, leveling up wasn't necessary, but it's always good to be prepared. I proceeded to select Freesia's summoning stone and began the summoning process.

"It's always exciting when a new member joins," Noru said.

"It's been a while since we summoned Runa. I'm looking forward to it," Estel added.

"Yes, indeed. Ah, I remember Runa-san's cold welcome fondly," Sisya reminisced.

"Don't treat that as a fond memory," I muttered.

As the light from the smartphone subsided, a girl appeared before us. The first thing I noticed was her long, pointed ears. She wore a sleeveless top and a mini skirt, though it was complemented by a long skirt that draped over half of her mini skirt. Despite the light attire, she held a large bow and had a quiver of arrows slung over her shoulder.

Freesia opened her eyes, revealing bright green irises, and looked around at us with a curious expression, her brown side-ponytail swaying slightly.

"So, you guys are the ones who called me?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm Heihachi Ookura. Nice to meet you," I replied.

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Freesia," she said with a bright smile.

Whoa! For the first time, I got a proper response! Maybe sticking to a normal greeting was the way to go. As I pondered this, Noru and the others began chattering.

"Ookura-sama gave a proper greeting!" Noru exclaimed.

"I was worried about what kind of greeting it would be, but it was normal," Estel commented.

"It lacks excitement. Ookura-san, you could have been more adventurous," Sisya teased.

"Hey, don't complain when I give a proper greeting!" I shot back.

"Don't worry, Heihachi. Last time, it was creepy, but this time it's fine," Runa assured me.

"Uh, thanks... I guess," I mumbled, feeling a mix of relief and confusion.

"I don't quite understand, but you all seem like fun people," Freesia said, laughing.

"I'm not sure 'fun' is the right word, but looking forward to working with you," I said.

Freesia continued to smile brightly, her cheerfulness contagious. I recalled that in the GC, she was an upbeat elf with a positive attitude. She seemed just as normal and reliable as Estel.

After everyone introduced themselves, the initial greetings wrapped up smoothly.

"Is your memory intact?" I asked.

"Uh, something about demons and lacking enough forces?" she replied, somewhat vaguely.

"Well, it seems you have a general grasp," Estel said skeptically.

"Sounds like it," I agreed.

"By the way, those ears have been bugging me... Are you not human, Freesia?" Noru asked.

"Nope, I'm an elf!" Freesia answered cheerfully.

"That explains those unique ears," Noru remarked.

"Not just long, they can move too," Freesia demonstrated, making her ears twitch.

"Whoa, her ears are moving," Runa observed, fascinated.

So she can move her ears at will... interesting.

"Those ears are quite noticeable. What should we do?" I pondered.

"Is there a problem with my charming ears?" Freesia asked, tilting her head.

"It's not a big issue, just..."

"Are you worried she won't be able to register as an adventurer? Long ears are a known trait of demons," Estel pointed out.

"Yeah, and it's better to avoid going out unnecessarily. The timing isn't great," I confirmed.

"So I can't go outside?" Freesia pouted.

"It's not that you can't go out at all, just avoid wandering around the city," I clarified.

Given that one of the demon traits is long ears, letting Freesia roam freely isn't wise. The suspicion of demons being around is high, so registering her as an adventurer at the guild is out of the question.

Freesia's disappointed expression suggested she wasn't a recluse like Runa. I needed to find a way for her to go out without attracting unwanted attention.

"Now that Freesia's here, let's sort through the equipment," I suggested.

"This time, the equipment haul doesn't seem promising," Estel noted.

"There were a lot of duplicates, so we can focus on strengthening what we have," Sisya added.

There wasn't much new equipment, so enhancing duplicates was our best bet. Starting with Freesia's Divine Lux seemed like a good idea.

First, I pulled out a white bracelet I'd never seen before.

――――――

● Dimension Bracelet

Allows temporary relocation of the part where it's worn within a certain range.

――――――

"This is new. Relocating the worn part sounds scary..."

"Does that mean you can move your hand somewhere else?" Estel wondered.

"Let's give it a try," Noru suggested.

Though the idea of moving body parts sounded terrifying, gacha items should be safe. I cautiously put on the bracelet and visualized grabbing a cup at a distance. My wrist and hand disappeared, reappearing in front of the cup.

"Whoa! My hand is floating!" Freesia exclaimed.

"It's a strange sight. If you can move weapons too, it could be very useful," Sisya noted.

"Let's try with the cup," I suggested.

The severed part appeared as a black void. If weapons could be moved like this, it would be very handy in combat. I grabbed the cup and willed my hand to return, successfully bringing the cup with me.

"This could be useful for grabbing things while resting. Give it to me," Runa demanded.

"No way! You're clearly planning to use it for laziness!" I retorted.

"Cheapskate," Runa pouted.

Runa's desire for space-related items is driven by her laziness. She eyed the bracelet longingly but would only use it to avoid effort, so I kept it from her.

Next, I pulled out a sword with a serrated blade.

――――――

● Serpent Sword

Attack Power +950

――――――

"An SSR sword. It has a strange serration," Noru observed.

"Oh, this is likely a segmented, extendable sword. Want to try it, Noru?" I asked.

"A stretching sword? I'll give it a try later," Noru agreed.

As a master swordsman, Noru was the best choice for this unique weapon. It seemed to be a combination of a sword and a whip, a dream weapon for many but likely a hazard for me.

"That's about it for new equipment. No new Nibelung or Grimoire items," I said.

"Wait, this Avaritia Grimoire might be new," Estel pointed out.

"What?" I asked, surprised.

Estel noticed a Grimoire that wasn't a duplicate. But I thought we had all the Grimoires. Maybe there were more?

――――――

● Grimoire 'Avaritia'

Increases light magic attack power by 100%

30% chance to confuse the target.

――――――

The Grimoire had a fox on its white cover, indicating it was a light attribute.

"Does this mean we have all the Grimoires? But what's the 'Gula' Grimoire?" I wondered.

"We'll have to wait and see. For now, I'm happy with this one," Estel said, hugging the new Grimoire.

Despite the mystery of the 'Gula' Grimoire, Estel's joy was infectious.

"Let's strengthen the duplicate equipment next, starting with Freesia's bow," I suggested.

"You'll strengthen my Divine Lux? Thank you!" Freesia beamed.

"Yeah, I've saved it for this moment," I admitted.

――――――

● Divine Lux☆2

Attack Power +2900

Extended Range 'Large'

Accuracy Boost 'Large'

Auto-Recovery

Action Speed +35%

――――――

Wow, UR items become incredibly powerful when strengthened. At this rate, Freesia's bow will soon surpass my meticulously enhanced Excalibar. Freesia showed me her other UR item, a translucent green arrow.

――――――

● Divine Arrow

Attack Power +500

Auto-Recovery

Accuracy Boost 'Large'

Critical Hit +50%

――――――

This arrow alone was formidable, with a critical hit enhancement that greatly boosted damage. Combined with her bow, Freesia could rival Noru's damage output.

"Such a beautiful bow and arrow. I want to see a headshot trick," Noru said.

"Leave it to me! I'll hit the forehead perfectly!" Freesia promised.

"That's not the point!" I exclaimed.

Freesia's cheerful nature made her a bit reckless, but it added to her charm. She might be a bit of a handful, but she'll be a great addition.

Finally, we enhanced our duplicate equipment.

――――――

● Excalibar☆45

Attack Power +4890

Action Speed +270%

Poison (Small)

Wood Special: Damage +10%

● Pot Lid☆33

Defense +1850

● Adamant Armor☆5

Defense +1700

Defense Speed +20%

● Magic Blade☆8

Attack Power +550

Ignore Defense

――――――

"My Magic Blade got a huge boost!" Sisya cheered.

"Excalibar is becoming absurdly powerful," Noru noted.

"It's shocking to see the same item 50 times," Estel added.

"It's a weird weapon, but it's strong," Freesia observed.

"Even stronger than my spear," Runa admitted.

Reaching nearly 5000 attack power, Excalibar was a force to be reckoned with. The other items also saw significant improvements, making us even more formidable.

Overall, the summoning and equipment strengthening went well. With Freesia joining us, our hunting expeditions will only get better.

An unhandled error has occurred.
